Oakland Portrait

Photographing in Oakland, California, I was more captivated by the sense of hope and strength of family, than by the despair.

Oakland Portrait was funded by a grant from the San Francisco Foundation, thanks to John Kreidler who was then at the Foundation. The photographs have been exhibited at the Eye Gallery, Intersection For The Arts, San Francisco CameraWork, and the Lillian Paley Center For The Arts.
